

The Vegetable Counter: A Colorful Lie
Everything in the vegetable counter is an illusion. Not just in nutritional content – but in existence. Nothing you see there grew like this a thousand years ago, barely fifty. Everything has been bred, manipulated and created to be bigger, sweeter and more appealing than nature would ever allow.
The vegetable counter is a Frankenstein collection of modern hybrid plants, artificially bred to appeal to people, not to provide nourishment.
But the most important thing is not what the vegetable counter has – that's what it lacks.
It doesn't contain heme iron, the only form of iron our bodies absorb effectively. It doesn't have vitamin B12, which is vital for the nervous system, blood cells and energy metabolism. It's devoid of real vitamin A (retinol), which you need for vision, the immune system and fertility. It doesn't contain any carnitine, carnosine or taurine - amino acids that keep your brain, muscles and metabolism going. It lacks vitamin K2, which ensures that calcium goes to your bones and doesn't build up in your blood vessels. And vitamin D3? Forget it, even if you believe that algae are "plants".
But the vegetable counter doesn't lack sugar...
Fructose-pumped fruits, starchy root vegetables, genetically modified corn – all designed to be sweeter, yield bigger crops, and last longer.
The fructose in modern fruit is directly harmful: it is metabolized as alcohol in the liver and contributes to fatty liver, insulin resistance and obesity.
The fact that health authorities recommend this candy for young and old, and as many as 8 times a day, will certainly be seen as pure madness in a very few years.
Nor do they lack toxins...
Lectins, oxalates, goitrogens, phytic acid, saponins – a whole cocktail of plant defense chemicals that damage the gut, block mineral absorption, disrupt metabolism, and create inflammation.
Plants don't want you to eat them. They can't run away, so they defend themselves. chemicalBut no one tells you this, because those who make money on "healthy plant foods" want you to believe that it is harmless.
And the worst part? People have been so indoctrinated that they think they have to have this. That they missing something if they don't eat vegetables.
The truth is, on the contrary, that plant foods lack almost everything you actually need.
What about essential fatty acids?
The vegetable counter is not only full of sugar and empty of nutrition – it is also stripped of the essential fatty acids your body NEEDS. There is no DHA. No EPA. No AA or DPA. No conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
But what do they have instead, that you're supposed to build all your cells from, and the two-thirds fat your brain is made of?
Chemically extracted “plant oils,” full of omega-6, are perfect for feeding inflammation, insulin resistance, and chronic disease. And it’s no wonder they create inflammation, when we witness these nasty, sticky oils spontaneously combust upon rancidity!
So what exactly are fruits and vegetables?
The tomato, which is today one of the most popular "vegetables", barely existed in Europe until 500 years ago - and when it first arrived, people scalded off the skin and threw away the seeds because it was considered poisonous.
Brussels sprouts were a bitter, stringy affair until the 90s, when agronomists began breeding a sweeter, milder version to get people to eat it.
The banana, as we know it, is a modern candy with more sugar than Coca Cola (!), while the original variety was a dry, bitter, seed-filled pod that was barely – if at all – edible.
The fact that people think blueberries the size of grapes are "natural" is completely absurd, and in general the vegetable counter is filled with "food" that can best be compared to candy, not nutrition.
What is natural food?
Yet people think this is natural food, while they look strangely at a piece red meat – the only thing that has actually been here since the dawn of time.
We are the most powerful predator on the planet, whether we like it or not, and from there we have specific nutritional needs, slowly evolving over millions of years.
No weird cult or modern idea can change that. We cannot rewrite our evolution and biology to fit a newfangled plant-based narrative, no matter how much some might want it, and no matter how loud the propaganda is.
Never has a human people, culture, or civilization ever built its existence on vegetables alone. On the other hand, there are, and were, many indigenous and tribal peoples who live exclusively on animal foods.
And you know what? In poor areas, children are saved from going blind by giving them one tiny egg a week. That's how important the most humane form of nutrition is; the form we find in the animal kingdom.
